Materials & Care

Jewellery is meant to be worn, seen, and enjoyed, it also needs love and care.

As a general care tip, jewellery should be the last thing you put on before heading out the door and the first thing you take off before going to sleep.

To prevent the risk of physical damage, always put your jewellery on after applying perfume, hairspray and lotions as these products can cause damage to stones, pearls, and metal finishes. Be sure to remove your jewellery before bathing, swimming, or exercising…all can have a dulling effect on most gemstones and metals. Be intentional and delicate with your jewellery and you can maximize the longevity of its lifespan.

How to Store
When not being worn, store your solid gold jewellery in a safe and dry place to protect it from the elements of daily exposure.

Gold-Filled

Gold-filled is made up of a solid layer of gold that is bonded together by heat to a base metal. It contains minimum 5% real gold content, which is much higher than gold plating. This makes gold-filled much more durable than gold plated.

How to Wear
Although the color on gold-filled jewellery typically lasts for a long time, it can still discolor over time if constantly exposed to water, products, and chemicals.

How to Care
Gold-filled jewellery can be hand polished with a soft untreated cloth. Do not rub your gold-fill jewellery harshly as the gold color will discolor quicker.

How to Store
Store in a dry place – ideally in a Ziploc bag or sectioned jewellery box.
