Since 1998, we have been sourcing jewellery and accessories from around the world and bringing them to our loyal and passionate customers. We now have 10 boutiques and an online store, and carry over 50 designers, including 9 lines that are unique to Blue Ruby.

Sales Associate

The Opportunity:
As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable in-store experience for our customers. Working closely with a supportive retail team, you will develop valuable skills in customer service, styling, product knowledge, and retail operations while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic retail environment.
In this role, you will build meaningful connections with customers by assisting with product inquiries, styling and product recommendations, and purchases throughout their shopping journey. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to store success, collaborate with a passionate team, and grow your confidence in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
Responsibilities:
• Provide generous customer engagement at all times to ensure our customers experience everything our stores have to offer.
• Be a Blue Ruby brand ambassador through product knowledge including seasonal trends, company information and social media campaigns.
• Contribute as a team member by striving to achieve your individual goal and in turn supporting the daily store goals.
• Perform store operational tasks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required, including visual display, merchandising tasks and store cleanliness.
Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience in a retail sales, customer service, or customer experience role preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to support all areas of store operations.
• Interest in fashion or jewellery.

Digital Content Creator

The Opportunity:
The Digital Content Creator plays a key role in shaping Blue Ruby’s digital presence, with digital content creation as the core responsibility of the position. This role focuses on producing engaging, on-brand visual content for social media, ecommerce, and digital marketing channels, while also supporting brand design across in-store and printed materials.
Through thoughtful storytelling, high-quality visuals, and cohesive design, this role helps elevate the customer shopping experience—driving inspiration, building trust, and ensuring every digital and physical touchpoint reflects the Blue Ruby brand. You will be responsible for creating photography, video, and digital assets that enhance product discovery, increase engagement, and create a seamless experience from online browsing to in-store shopping.
Overall, the goal of this role is to support and contribute to increased sales by strengthening brand visibility, improving product storytelling, and ultimately driving customer conversion across digital and physical channels.
Responsibilities:
Digital Content Creation
• Capture high-quality, editorial-style product photography for ecommerce and marketing use.
• Edit and retouch imagery, including selects, treatments, and final image clean-up.
• Design and maintain ecommerce assets such as homepage banners, promotional graphics, and digital campaign visuals.
• Research and stay current on fashion and accessories industry trends, including how vendors and competitors promote products digitally and on social platforms.

Brand + Visual Design
• Design and maintain brand assets including packaging, signage, labels, and in-store graphics.
• Ensure all visual materials accurately represent Blue Ruby’s brand identity, ethos, and aesthetic.
• Evaluate market trends and analyze competitor packaging and design approaches.
• Build design projects from concept through final production.
• Coordinate with printers, vendors, and external suppliers as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education in design, content creation, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a content creation or design role, preferably within fashion, accessories, or lifestyle brands.
• A strong portfolio showcasing digital-first content, visual storytelling, photography, and design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma.
• Strong understanding of digital storytelling, visual hierarchy, typography, and colour.
• Social media experience across Instagram, IG Reels, and TikTok.
• Experience shooting and editing content using professional camera systems (Canon preferred).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Senior Buyer

The Opportunity:
The Senior Buyer is a highly skilled and commercially savvy professional responsible for curating and managing a compelling assortment of products across multiple brands. This role requires excellent taste, a strong eye for trends, and the ability to identify and source new brands that align with the company’s vision and customer expectations. The Senior Buyer collaborates closely with the Buying, Marketing, Purchasing and Merchandising teams to optimize product mix, drive sales, and ensure cohesive brand storytelling across all channels. This is a key role for someone ideally with prior multi-brand retail experience who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Brand Development
• Source and curate new brands, designers, and product lines that align with the company’s aesthetic and commercial goals.
• Research and identify industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform product selection and brand partnerships.
• Identify gaps in the assortment and proactively develop strategies to expand and diversify product offerings.
• Monitor competitive landscape and provide insight on local and national competition.
Assortment Planning & Merchandising
• Manage product assortment across multiple brands, ensuring balance by category, price point, and seasonality.
• Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to translate product selections into cohesive campaigns and storytelling.
• Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and trends to optimize assortment and inform future buying decisions.
• Provide vendor performance recaps, sales analysis, and inventory insights to leadership.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Act as a liaison between Buying, Marketing, Pricing and Merchandising teams to ensure timely communication of trends, product launches, and campaigns.
• In partnership with the Pricing Director, manages sell-throughs, markdowns, and exit channels for all products.
• Support seasonal budget planning, forecasting, and financial strategy.
• Mentor and support buy team members, providing guidance on product selection, vendor management, and market analysis.
• Assign and oversee research projects for buy team members, including trend forecasting, competitor analysis, and emerging brand opportunities.
• Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships, coordinating with vendors on line sheets, image assets, and event collaborations.
Operational
• Guide the creation of practical tools, templates, and systems to support the Buying team’s workflow, improve efficiency, and enable better data-driven decisions.
• Maintain organized records of product information, vendor contacts, and collection schedules.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support business planning and sales targets.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer in fashion or jewellery retail.
• Exceptional taste and strong aesthetic judgment with the ability to curate compelling assortments across multiple brands.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, inventory reports, and trend insights to inform buying decisions.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
• Advanced knowledge of retail math, including margin planning, open-to-buy, sell-through, and inventory productivity.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel and work on the retail floor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
